we have 2 great danes, one who is 170 lbs. and this door has held up for several years. the other dane is 111 and hits the door hard both ways. only reason for replacement need. product and service dept. top rate. price is about what you pay for quality.

Every other part I ordered for, however this part did not. It seems to be a different screw spacing than the rest of the replacement parts I have ordered. Weird. Can't seem to find the part I need and the website doesn't make it that helpful. I will likely just keep my old broken part instead of fight through website again.
It would be great if you guys offered replacement package options. It's a lot to click through and find every part you need. I imagine 90% of home owners experienced the same thing I ran into: once it was time to replace some things it was time to replace everything. (Just the plastic stuff)

But you don't need to order this if you're ordering the inside frame. It is already included

Fit the frame as it should, and was easy to install.

Got the door from a friend, but missing flap, bar and screws. Ordered everything on line and was very easy and not expensive considering what the total door cost is. Make sure you get the right size. There's an old and a new. My screw holes did not match, but easy enough to drill new ones in my existing door. Have not installed yet, but quality looks good.
Plastic hold bar

The replacement bar is fine I just wonder why a more substantial piece [metal?] is not used so replacement is not so frequently needed. I would also recommend bolts that go all the way through in lieu of screws into the plastic.
Great to have replacement option

When the piece holding our dog door flap broke last week, I started looking online for new dog doors. I remembered that I still had the paperwork from 1999. The door was from Ideal. I went to the website and was able to find the exact replacement part I needed. 3 days later the door was fully functional again!
Part I Needed

I was very worried when the old replacement flap bar broke when I was removing it. Didn't know if I could get just that part only, especially since it was the original design and not one of the newer ones. Their website was easy to navigate and I found what I needed. Once ordered, it came quickly and was just what I needed.
